実験手順: 5-Bromo-1-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-pentane (10.4) was prepared as in 10.1 using 9.4 (2.99 g, 12.3 mmol), K2CO3 (4.24 g, 30.75 mmol) and benzyl bromide (2.31 g, 13.53 mmol). The title compound (10.4) was isolated as a white semi-solid after purification by flash column chromatography (3.11 g, 76% yield).

The title compound (9.4) was isolated as a viscous liquid after purification by flash column chromatography (2.84 g, 92% yield).
