The mixture was stirred for 1 hour at room temperature then the solvent was evaporated in vacuo to give a white solid identified as (4R)-thiazolidinecarboxamide hydrochloride (6.2 g, 36.8 mmol, 99%). the solvent was evaporated in vacuo to give a white solid
