実験手順: When 2,3,4,5-tetrabromo-6-chlorotoluene, mp 268°-269°, was substituted for pentabromotoluene in Example 7 and the resultant dioxonium compound was hydrolyzed according to the procedure of Example 35 an essentially quantitative yield of the title compound was obtained. The structure of the novel high melting compound was confirmed by infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy as well as by elemental analysis.
